Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so Tottenham should probably take this blatant replication of their shirt as a compliment.Tottenham in their third kit on the opening weekend of the season1

Iraqi club Al-Shorta SC, who currently top the Iraqi Premier League, have used the design for their home shirt, using the exact same colours and graphic as the one on the Spurs 2018/19 third kit. Nike created the bespoke third shirt for Spurs, by drawing references from their kit designs of the late 80’s, while the patterns on the top half of the shirt are an aerial depiction of the clubs locality in Haringey. The colour then blends into a neptune green with a navy blue shade for the socks. It is a theme Nike have made for a number of their high-profile sides, with the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona also having subtle graphics included in relation to the club’s location.Spurs have barely worn their third uniform this season, having debuted it on the opening weekend against Newcastle and then against West Ham in the Carabao Cup and the Champions League against PSV Eindhoven. However, the club were also guilty of shirt ‘theft’ themselves at the beginning of the season, as their away kit shares uncanny similarities to Barcelona’s training top.Eagle eyed fans spotted this and were quick to laugh.
