Fulham striker Aboubakar Kamara was arrested on Monday on suspicion of actual bodily harm following a fight at the club’s Motspur Park training ground.The altercation involved the 23-year-old and an individual believed to be an on-site member of staff, and led to police being called in.A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, per the Daily Mail: “Police were called to a training ground in New Malden, shortly after 17.00hrs on Monday, 21 January to reports of a fight.1

Enquiries continue.”Kamara was banned from first-team training by Claudio Ranieri, the Fulham manager, who ordered him to train with the Under-23s having not played since the defeat by Arsenal on New Year’s Day.It is believed he visited Motspur Park on Monday to discuss his future with club chiefs.A Fulham statement read: “The Club is grateful for the swift attention and action by the Metropolitan Police immediately following our reporting of the incident on Monday. “The subject who was arrested is banned indefinitely from Motspur Park and all club activities.“We will refrain from further comment but will stress that we will fully cooperate with any new or continuing investigation or legal proceeding in the name of providing everyone a secure and safe working environment.”Earlier this month, Kamara was alleged to have had a bust-up with team-mate Aleksandar Mitrovic during a yoga session, with the two players having to be ‘dragged apart’ as they were ‘at each other’s throats’.This incident came a couple of months after Mitrovic and Kamara clashed on the field of play, with the latter refusing to give the ball to Mitrovic after winning a penalty in December’s defeat of Huddersfield.

• January 23, 2019:It is confirmed Kamara was arrested at the club’s Motspur Park training ground on Monday, January 21. He was arrested by the Metropolitan Police on suspicion of actual bodily harm and criminal damage after a fight with a staff member.

Mitrovic is the club’s designated penalty taker, but Kamara took the spot kick and ended up missing. Mitrovic scored a late winner from open play to spare his team-mate’s blushes.Ranieri said of Kamara: “He did not respect me, the club, team-mates and crowd. I spoke with him, it is not right.”Frenchman Kamara, who joined Fulham in summer 2017 from Amiens, is expected to leave Craven Cottage this month. A move to Turkey has been mooted and could be finalised before the close of the transfer window.His most recent appearance for the west London club came on New Year’s Day, with Kamara scoring in a 4-1 loss at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. That is likely to be his final act in a Fulham shirt.
